Video
With 20+ years of agency experience in Experiential Marketing, I've had the opportunity to conceive and execute a lot of work. These three videos are just a sampling of original content I've written and produced.
Stars & Stripes Vignette
Duty. Honor. Country. was one of seven original video vignettes developed for Stars and Stripes: A Salute to Our Veterans. More than 3,000 minutes of footage spanning 50 hours and three days of filming were distilled down to 7 original video vignettes.
Bergstrom, Inc., a global manufacturer based in Rockford, IL, had an ambitious request to honor local Veterans and their families within the community. Out of this request, Stars and Stripes: A Salute to Our Veterans, was born. More than 5,000 people packed the BMO Center in Rockford, IL for a curated tribute that included a Keynote address from former Secretary of State, General Colin Powell, an Oath of Enlistment for Marine Corps recruits and traditions representing all branches of the military.
Healthcare Client Patient Video
In conjunction with the release of a new indication for the cancer drug, OPDIVO, at the ESMO Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Immuno-Oncology (I-O) business unit within Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) wanted to highlight a patient from its clinical trial. I conducted a 90-min. pre-interview with the patient via phone, a fashion designer based in Denmark. From those notes I generated a video treatment that included interview questions centered on her life before and after her cancer diagnosis; the effects of the course of treatment; and what she hoped the future would bring. I also provided a companion shot list and tone setter document for the Denmark-based video crew.
The video ran immediately before a fireside chat with the patient and her provider as part of the larger General Session. It put a face and name to the disease and demonstrated that the company’s ecosystem In addition to the Main Stage content, members of the European sales team participated in breakout sessions and sales training under the umbrella theme, Racing Towards the Future.
My Second Family
Bergstrom Inc., a global manufacturer based in Rockford, IL, hosted a 4-hour Gala honoring First Responders who lived and worked in the community. My Second Family, is one of several interstitial videos I conceived that served as the lynchpin for the red-thread messaging and sentiments that were shared throughout the evening.
The interstitials delivered on the video treatment with their focus on the importance of the Brotherhood/Sisterhood and Duty to the Community. When the 48 hrs. of interviews wrapped, Rockford Firefighters, EMTs, 911 Operators and their loved ones had shared stories about the bond between the members of these chosen families, their loyalty to their respective squads and the Community and how they deal with the pressures of the job. The evening celebration was punctuated with service recognitions, residents sharing stories of survival, and remarks from local dignitaries including Rockford's Mayor and Assemblymen.
